The Statement Series

Olympus was last years Region Champion and took second in 5A. But a lot has changed and Oly is coming off 2 loses to Murray , this is Highland’s chance to see how far they have come as a team.

Coach comment: “ We are coming off a year in which we had a great run to the state championship but that varsity team last year was comprised of 15 seniors who have all graduated. Not a single underclassman played any significant innings last year and thus we don’t return any starters on the varsity level for this year at all. We will be inexperienced from that standpoint for sure and a completely new look to say the least but we expect our seniors and juniors to be ready to step into larger contributing roles and be successful in doing so. Losing that type of senior leadership and two all-state pitchers certainly isn’t ideal but we are optimistic we will compete and will surprise some people.”
With all this they ranked The Titans over the Rams!?!?
